Rehabilitation for The Disabled


1ELEPAP of Agrinio celebrated 20 years of operation, on the Papastrateio Megaron of Agrinio.

The event was attended among others by: the Vice President of the Greek Parliament, Mr. Georgios Varemenos, former minister, Mr. Panagiotis Kouroumplis, the regional governor of Western Greece, Mr. Apostolos Katsifaras, the Mayor of Agrinio, Mr. Georgios Papanastasiou, the Members of the Parliament: Mrs. Maria Triantafyllou and Mr. Dimitrios Konstantopoulos, the Regional Vice Governors: Mrs. Christina Staraka, Mr. Ioannis Lytras, and Mr. Nikolaos Ifantis, the President of the City Council, Mr. Vasileios Fotakis, the deputy mayors: Mrs. Maria Papageorgiou and Mr. Konstantinos Kalantzis, Members of the Municipal Council, the President of the National Confederation of Disabled People, Mr. Ioannis Vardakastanis, the Police Chief of Akarnania, brigadier Mr. Dimitrios Papaefthimiou, the Commander of the Fire Department of the Aitoloakarnania county, Mr. Christoforos Mpokas, and the PR Manager of GEFYRA SA and Moderator of the Solidarity Pylons, Mr. Ioannis Freris.

Evgenia Mpletsa, one of the “Brave Children” of ELEPAP, expressed her love and gratitude towards the ELEPAP family, stating “Happy anniversary ELEPAP of my heart, happy anniversary my second home!”   

The Local Administrative Committee awarded ELEPAP’s doctors, for their multiannual and invaluable work, by offering them memorial plaques. Additionally, the Committee honored former educators, and former Members of the Board of ELEPAP for their voluntary work.

The important role of the mother of the “Brave Children” was discussed and Mrs. Katia Zarkada, known actress, recited the poem “The mother of ELEPAP”, written by Dimitrios Kissas, member of the Local Administrative Committee of ELEAP of Agrinio.
Subsequently, praises were given to our “Brave Children” by their therapists.

The choir of the “Conservatory of Modern Art” – led by Mrs. Katerina Papadimitriou - performed to honor ELEPAP’s “Brave Children”. The sweet voices of the children moved the attendees, while the ELEPAP family expressed its gratitude.
The Local Administrative Committee would like to thank all the people who helped make this event possible, the members, the donors, the sponsors, the volunteers, and all the attendees of the event.
The President of ELEPAP of Agrinio and the members of the Local Administrative Committee, promise to continue their tireless efforts to improve the lives of Children with disabilities.
