ELEPAP
Rehabilitation for The Disabled

.

ELEPAP celebrated its 80th anniversary on Wednesday 20 December 2017 with a Christmas gala at the Town Hall of Thessaloniki. The extensive programme paid tribute to its operation and contribution to children with disabilities throughout these years. The event was very well attended and emotionally charged. Lisa Xanthopoulou conducted the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and Aggeliki Krisila conducted the Choir of the Music School of Thessaloniki.
The event ended on a high note, with the choir, orchestra and the ELEPAP children on stage for a rendition of Silent Night! The young choir members of ELEPAP were thrilled to be given the baton and to conduct the musicians themselves. The hall was filled with children’s voices singing together from the heart – encompassing the children of ELPAP in a love filled atmosphere. The event received the wholehearted support of Ms. Elli Chrysidou - Deputy Mayor of Culture & Arts of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Department of Municipal Music Ensembles; Ms. Anna Angelidou - Deputy Mayor for Financial Affairs; Ms. Lisa Xanthopoulou, conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the musicians of the orchestra; Ms. Angeliki Krisila, conductor of the Choir of the Music School of Thessaloniki and the choir members; Sophia Zoumi, pianist; Eirini Mosaidou – principal of the Music School of Thessaloniki; Christos Grimbas, artistic director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki; the members of the ELEPAP choir and the children's parents; the F. TSIALAS PRESS; and HOUTOS CATERING. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to them all!
