The ELEPAP Chania Branch was the first charitable, non-profit association to operate in Crete and was established in 1980. This year marks its 40-year anniversary. In all these years it has staunchly and tirelessly delivered a holistic therapeutic rehabilitation program for infants and children covering as wide a field as preterm births, muscular dystrophy, various syndromes, delay in intellectual development, hypotonia, hypertonia, cerebral palsy, walking and motor disorders, learning difficulties, neurological problems, language – feeding – swallowing disorders etc.

The ELEPAP Chania Branch provides its services to 170 children from the prefectures of Chania, Rethymno as well as Heraklion, with 31 members of staff, including doctors, therapists, administrative, nursing and auxiliary staff. It remains in close cooperation with the General Hospital of Chania, PaGNI, as well as the Venizelio Hospital.
